I have a nice older Quicksilver G4 that I re-appropriated as a learning tool for my children. I've adjusted the sleep settings a few times, but it will not automatically sleep. It will sleep if I manually choose "Sleep" from the Apple drop-down menu. Upon waking, the trouble begins. It tends to have issues related to the NIC, resulting in loss of network connection. Occasionally OS X will simply freeze.

I've installed the latest updates with no changes. I've also removed any extra hardware, down to just the basics. While sleeping, I will sometimes flip the KVM switch over to my MacBook, though the sleep issue occurs even if I don't do this.

Any suggestions?
